Unfortunately, Sun TV seems to be more interested in establishing that the present govt. hasn't done enough. Pretty sad and petty that in a time like this they'd rather point fingers than help those who "weren't" helped by the TN govt.

The Kumbakonam Fire Incident was politicised too. Our country/state is known for 'passing the blame' - the channel depends which is the ruling party. Sadly for majority of the population, TV is a strong and only medium available for news.

True. Coming to think of it, this year has been really bad for children. The Russian incident, Kumbakonam, the scores of tads affected in the tsunami attack. Ouch! I suppose if we look back deeply we might find a few more. I agree that TV is our only window to what happens elsewhere, but shouldn't there be some accountability or choice over what a viewer wants to hear...
